519 road works worth Rs. 79.74-Cr sanctioned for SMC

Gandhinagar: Under the Chief Minister Urban Road Scheme (CMURS), Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today sanctioned Rs. 79.74-cr for 519 road works of Surat Municipal Corporation.
The sanctioned works included, Rs. 19.10-Cr for carpet works on 97 road, Rs. 57.35-Cr for re-carpet works on 396 roads, and 26 works worth Rs. 3.29-Cr for widening existing roads or making new roads with footpaths.
The sanctioning of these works of Surat Municipal Corporation would benefit the citizens of Varachha, Athwa, Rander, Limbayat, Udhna, Katargam and other areas of the city and would also increase civic amenities.
