Congress leader arrested following NBW by court in 1992 riot case

Surat: Iqbal Belim, opposition Congress party’s whip in Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) was arrested today after the local court issued non bailable warrant against him as he failed to appear in court repeatedly and also didn’t respond related notices served to him. Belim has been sent to jail for now. Belim is accused in the case pertaining to year 1992 riots in the city.
