Gujarat court awards capital punishment to rapist and murderer of 3 year old girl

Rajkot:A local court here today awarded capital punishment to a man who had raped and brutally killed a 3 year old girl.
The court of ADJ D D Thakkar today awarded the punishment to hang one Ramesh Vedukiya who had on August 9, 2018 raped the girl in PTC hostel ground here and later killed her by multiple blows of stone on her head.
The culprit had a criminal history and had two days before that incident murdered a 70 year old lady after looting her jewelry.
The court held him guilty under various sections of POSCO Act and the IPC.
