7th Covid19 death in Gujarat; total 87 cases in the State

Vadodara: A 52-year-old COVID19 patient lost his life today morning in Vadodara. Deceased Shailendra Desai from Nizampura area of city had a history of travel to Sri Lanka and was admitted to SSG Hospital, Vadodara on 19 March. 4 members of his family have also tested positive for the virus and they are undergoing treatment. These details were shared by Shalini Agarwal, Vadodara district Collector. This is seventh death in Gujarat due to Covid19.

Meanwhile, there has been no increase in the number of Covid19 patients in Gujarat since last evening bulletin, said Principal Secretary, Health in media briefing in Gandhinagar. She said the total number of cases remains 87 in Gujarat. 2 of them are on ventilator support, while 7 are fully recovered and discharged.

Principal Secretary said next five to seven days are very crucial.
