378 Covid19 cases so far, 116 new cases in 24 hours

Gandhinagar: With 70 new cases in the past 12 hours, Gujarat’s coronavirus tally is up at 378. 3 more persons were discharegd today after full recovery.

540 tests were conducted in Ahmedabad, of them 44 were positive (36 male, 8 women). In Vadodara 270 tests were conducted, of which results of 20 were positive. 3 cases are from Bharuch and Surat each.

There are total 323 stable patients, 3 are on ventilator. So far 33 patients are discharged including 3 since morning.

Out of 16000 testing nationwide, 1520 are from Gujarat.

Out of 1519 tests in last 24 hours, 116 are positive, negative cases are 1300. Results of 103 samples are pending.

Morning briefing

Gandhinagar: 46 new cases of Coronavirus have been detected in Gujarat since last evening bulletin, said Principal Secretary of Health department, Govt of Gujarat in her morning briefing today. The number is higher due to pro-active testing and intensive surveillance with focus on hotspots, she said. In last 12 hours, 4 Covid19 patients are discharged from hospitals after full recovery. 2 deaths are registered in last 12 hours in the State that include a 40 year old male in Ahmedabad who was a kidney patient and 81 year old male in Gandhinagar who was a close contact of other Covid19 patient.

Among new 46 cases detected in last 12 hours, highest 17 are from Vadodara. All these 17 cases are from Nagarwada area of city. Bharuch has 4 new cases, all from Amod. Origin and background of these four Amod cases are being traced by State Police. Other places – Ahmedabad 11, Patan 2, Rajkot 5, Kutch 2, Gandhinagar 1 and Bhavnagar 4.

Locations of cases in Ahmedabad are from Kalupur, Manekchawk, Juhapura, Bapunagar, Shah Alam, Nava Vadaj, Bavla, Hariom Society(a doctor from Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram who had as per primary detail went for surveillance job), Dudheshwar etc.

There have been total 308 Covdi19 cases in Gujarat detected so far. Breakup: Ahmedabad 153, Surat 24, Rajkot 18, Vadodara 39, Bhavnagar 22, Gandhinagar 14, Kutch 4, Mahesana 2, Gir Somnath 2, Porbandar 3, Panchmahal 1, Patan 14, Chhota Udepur 2, Jamnagar, Morbi, Sabarkantha, Dahod 1 case each, Bharuch 4, Anand 2.

So far, out of 308 total cases, 30 persons are discharged, 19 are dead.

The Government has planned daily around 1,000 Covid19 sample tests. In last 24 hours, 978 tests were done, of them 67 were positive, 635 were negative and 276 were pending.
