Third hotel in Ahmedabad announced as Covid Care Centre

Ahmedabad: Apart from two hospitals(for severe and critical cases) and two Covid Care Centres (for mild infection cases) for Covid19 patients, the city of Ahmedabad has now three Covid hotels.
AMC Commissioner today in his briefing said, Lemon Tree hotel in Khanpur will now host Covid19 patients (asymptomatic with mild infection).
The hotel is located in Central zone of wall city which is worst affected by Covid19 infection spread.
City Commissioner said, ‘as per a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed, Lemon Tree will start functioning as Covid Care Centre from tomorrow with its 60 rooms that can accommodate 125 patients. The cost will be Rs. 3,000 per day including stay, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It’s worth noting that the city has already two hotels functioning as Covid Care Centre. They are Fern hostel on SG Highway and DoubleTree by Hilton in Bopal area. Fern hotel has now over two dozen Covid patients in its facility.
