Merger of Pethapur municipality and 18 villages to Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has merged new areas (one municipality and 18 villages) to the limits of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC). Pethapur municipality and villages namely Kudasan, Raisan, Randesan, Sargasan, Koba, Vasna Hadmatiya, Vavol, Por, Ambapur, Amiyapur, Bhat, Sughad, Zundal, Khoraj, Koteshwar, Nabhoi and Randheja have been declared merged to GMC limits.
The Government has also declared merger of specific areas of village panchayats namely Tarapur, Uvarsad, Dholakuva, Indroda, Lavarpur, Shahpur and Basan to GMC limits.
The areas will become parts of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation. The order in this regard has been issued by Urban Development Department, Government of Gujarat. GMC election scheduled to take place in year 2021 will also be contested as per this new delimitation.
