Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has ordered merger of two municipalities and 31 villages to Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC). The municipalities to be merged are Sachin and Kansad while villages that are to be included in SMC limits are Segva Syadla, Vasvari, Gothan, Umra, Bharthana Kosad, Pardi Kande, Telangpor, Pali, Umber (Excluding Sachin INA), Kandi Faliya, Bhatpor, Bhatha, Ichchapor, Bhesan, Okha, Vankla, Vihel, Chichi, Asarma, Kathodara, Valak, Velanja, Abrama, Bhada, Kator, Khadsad, Laskana, Saniya-Hemad, Pasodra, Kumbhariya and Saroli.
