BioDiesel pumps raided for having no NOCs

Rajkot: As many as seven Biodiesel pumps were raided and shut on Gondal – Jetpur highway by six teams of local Prant Officer, for not having No Objection Certificates (NOC).
89,936 litre Biodiesel stock was seized in these raids.
According to Prant Officer Rajesh Aal, bio diesel sell requires five types of NOCs including NOC for explosive, district magistrate, GPCB, local authority, shop act(if in city) and Highway Authority(if on highway). Rate of bio diesel was Rs. 39 to Rs. 50 per litre.
