Gujarat hits another high with 624 Covid-19 positive cases detected in 24 hours

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has hit another high as 624 new Covid-19 positive cases have been recorded in last 24 hours ending 5 pm today, taking the total number of cases so far to 31,397 including 22,808 discharges and 1,809 deaths.

Out of 624 new cases detected in last 24 hours, 170 are from Ahmedabad city while 141 are from Surat city.

In the same period of last 24 hours, 391 Covid-19 patients have recovered as per the State health department bulletin. Out of total 19 Covid-19 patients died in this period, 13 were from Ahmedabad city, 2 from Surat district and 1 each from Surat city, Gandhinagar, Arvalli and Bharuch.

There are 6,780 total active Covid-19 cases in the State, of which 71 are critical.

The State has witnessed total 22,808 discharges and 1,809 deaths on account of Covid-19 so far.
