On way to airport to catch flight to America, a person detected Covid-19 positive at AMC check-point, then

Ahmedabad: A person was detected Covid19 positive just before he could reach airport to catch a flight for America. He argued and escaped AMC check-post, but later with swift action by AMC and SVPI airport teams he was caught and sent to Asarwa Civil hospital.

AMC has set up a Corona check posts at Expressway toll plaza and entry/exit points of SP ring road of city. Those entering in Ahmedabad city have to undergo rapid antigen Covid-19 test.

Today at 4 pm, a Tavera car with registration number GJ-23 AN 3547 entered to SP ring road from Himmatnagar side entry/exit point. When checked with rapid antigen test kits, one of those in that car was detected Covid19 positive. The medical team present at the check point asked that person to stop traveling further and immediately go for medical treatment. However the person detected positive, argued that he had to take a flight to America and escaped the check point.

A medical officer in Ramol immediately relayed a message to AMC officials who subsequently contacted SVPI airport manager Navin Yadav over a phone call. As a result the Covid19 positive passenger was identified, stopped and taken to Asarwa Civil hospital at 6.45 pm.
