Fire breaks out on 6th floor of Satva flat in Paldi area; all safe

Paldi: Fire broke out on 6th floor of Satva residential building in Paldi area here. None is hurt in this incident of fire.

According to Chief Fire Officer Minoch Dastoor, fire was controlled and none was reported injured.

He said there were ten persons on upper floors who were sent to terrace atop the building. One person on 6th floor (flat number 602) was asked to move to a room where there was no danger.

He said the building had fire safety system but it was not in working condition and therefore fire couldn’t be controlled timely.

According to one of residents of this building, one flat had some furtniture works going on which caused fire which spread further to next flat.

Fire has been controlled, 10 persons on upper floor were sent to rooftop and one person on 6th floor has been sent to seperate room. There’s safe inside on the upper floor. Fire safety is there but equipment can’t work. Therefore spread.
