Morbi district BJP vice president resigns
December 13, 2020
Morbi: District level BJP leader Jitu Somani has resigned from the post of vice president of Morbi district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Somani was recently appointed on this post. Somani said he lost year 2017 assembly election by merely 1270 votes due to rebel party man Gordhan Sarvaiya’s candidature as independent. The party had suspended him for six years. However the party has now not just inducted him back but also made him vice president of Morbi district BJP. Somani further said that he had requested State party leadership to appoint him on the post of general secretary of district unit but he was given the post of vice president which was not acceptable.
