BJP changes two candidates in Surat for SMC election

Surat: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has changed two candidates for upcoming Surat Municipal Corporation.
The party has decided to replace Anita Yashodhar Desai with Sonal Sanjay Desai in ward number six and Lakshman Beladiya with Naresh Dhamelia in ward fourteen as its candidates.
The decision was taken after party realized that Anita Desai and Lakshman Beladiya were above 60. The party had earlier decided that it would not give ticket to anyone who is 60 or above. DeshGujarat
