Covid recovery rate in Gujarat improves to 79.11 per cent

Gandhinagar: Covid19 recovery rate in Gujarat has increased to 79.11 per cent today with recovery of 14,931 covid infected patients in a day against 11,592 new cases reported. As per the daily bulletin released by the State health department, Gujarat witnessed 117 covid deaths in a day. The number of active cases in the State has come down to 1,36,158.

Total 1,03,94,150 persons have been vaccinated with first dose in the State so far, while 33,55,185 persons have been vaccinated with both first and second doses. Thus the State has administered over 1.37 crore vaccine doses against Covid19. Today, 29,817 youths in 18-44 age group were vaccinated while in 45+ age group, 35,180 persons were given first dose and 1,32,466 were given second dose.

Ahmedabad has witnessed rise in Covid19 cases today. Against 2,883 a day ago, Ahmedabad city today reported 3,194 fresh cases. The count of fresh cases in Surat has marginally come down from 839 yesterday to 823 today. Daily reported cases in Vadodara city have come down from 790 a day ago to 751 today.
