Crematorium staffers considered Corona Warriors with effect from April 2020: Gujarat govt

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has taken a decision to consider the employees of cremation places as corona warriors. The decision was taken in a core group meeting on Covid19 chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Crematorium employees will get all benefits availed to corona warriors with effect from 1st April 2020. If any employee of crematorium dies due to infection of covid19 while doing duty, the family will get Rs. 25 lakh assistance from the State government. DeshGujarat
