AMC seals shopping complexes, hotels, restaurant for use without BU permission

Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has sealed number of commercial buildings that were in use without Building Use (BU) permission.

Among the buildings sealed are Shefali Commercial Centre at Paldi Cross Roads (81 units), University Plaza at Vijay Char Rasta (68 units), Business Point near Narol Circle (90 units) and Yash Complex near Maninagar Railway Crossing (27 units) – in total 117 units.

AMC teams have also sealed Mayur Palace (3 units) Moti Mahel Hotel, Savan Hotel, Bhookh Lagi Hai and Hotel Royal Plaza – total 7 units for use without Building Use (BU) permission in reference to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL).

An updated list in the evening shows over 500 units are sealed.
