Vadodara: The Gujarat High Court has today dismissed a plea filed by city based Heritage Trust against proposed construction of Railway University . The High Court bench headed by the Chief Justice has also rejected petitioner’s request to stay the order for six weeks.
With this order, the proposed railway university can be constructed now at a site 300 metres from the Pratap Vilas Palace ( not a protected monument ) in Vadodara. The 53-acre Pratap Vilas property is a government owned gated property, not accessible to the public at large.
