Bagasara town observes bandh protesting “Love Jihad”

Amreli: Vishva Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and other bodies had declared one-day strike in Bagasara town of Amreli today protesting Love-jihad cases.

Recently, a Muslim man eloped with a Hindu woman residing in Bagasara and a police complaint was also filed regarding the same. Many similar kinds of incidents have happened in Bagasara in recent times which has resulted in outrage among the locals. Previously, two meetings were held regarding this issue.

A Muslim man had previously eloped with a minor Hindu girl in February this year but the girl was brought back to her family. The girl’s family had reconciled and stayed away from filing a complaint. The same Muslim man now recently eloped with the same Hindu girl again as soon as she turned adult. DeshGujarat
