One hit by BRTS bus dead in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A newspaper-vendor driving Hinda Activa two-wheeler died after an accident with a BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) Janmarg bus today morning at Pallav Char Rasta – 132 feet ring road in Shastrinagar a rea of Ahmedabad.

The accident occurred at 6.26 AM today. The BRTS bus with number L037 was running on Route no 2 of Bhadaj to Odhav. As per CCTV Footage, The Activa driver was crossing the road and he didn’t notice the coming bus and collided with the bus. The two-wheeler driver was sent to hospital by 108 ambulance but he died due to severe injury.

The name of the BRTS bus driver is Shankar Dayma. The people gathered at the place after the accident and the bus-driver climbed upon the bus looking at the outrage among the crowd. The crowd started raising slogans against BRTS buses. B-Division Traffic Police reached the site and held the bus-driver. Further actions are to be taken by the police regarding the case. DeshGujarat
