300 cu sec Narmada water supply to Nyari dam for Rajkot

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has taken a decision to supply 300 cu sec water of Narmada to Nyari dam in Saurashtra under SAUNI scheme
The city of Rajkot draws drinking water from Nyari dam.
The decision as per the State government note has been taken at the level of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Rajkot is home-town of the Chief Minister.
Pumping for water supply has been started this morning. Narmada water will reach Nyari dam by Tuesday morning.
The Government note said that supply of water through Nyari dam will improve the situation of water supply in Western portion of Rajkot city. DeshGujarat
