AAP cadre held in connection with manipulated video of Gujarat minister

Surat: A cadre of Aam Admi Party (AAP) has been arrested by Varachha Police here for circulating manipulated video of the minister of state, BJP leader and local MLA Kumar Kanani.

In the recent past, minister Kanani had uploaded a 22 minutes video on facebook. A video made viral by accused AAP cadre Bharat Kantibhai Patel was made by selecting specific portions of original 22-minute video, that were joined to make a 12 second video.

Kanani’s edited and manipulated video clip was made in such a fashion that he could be heard saying that, ‘Gondal is village of goons and anti-social elements…. lot of people died during covid pandemic due to lack of arrangements and incompetence of Bharatiya Janata Party’

A manipulated video clip was made viral by AAP cadres. Bharat, an active AAP cadre is resident of Karmabhumi flat near Piyush Point in Udhna area. He claimed that a video that he made viral was sent to him by someone else.

Meanwhile AAP cadres held protest at Police station against the arrest of their cadre.
