Police nabs two over purported sleaze video of Gujarat Lok Sabha MP

Palanpur: Police have detained two accused for questioning after a purported sleaze video of Gujarat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Parbatbhai Patel went viral on social media on Tuesday-10th August.

The accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker Magha Patel and Mukesh Rajput allegedly made an edited sleaze video clip of Loksabha MP from Banaskantha Parbatbhai Patel viral on social media. The video projects the MP Parbatbhai Patel in a compromising position with a woman.

MP’s son Shailesh Patel had filed a complaint against Magha Patel and Mukesh Rajput on Tuesday and alleged a conspiracy to extort money and defame his father. Tharad police station of Banaskantha district lodged an FIR considering the complaint by Shailesh Patel. Both accused are detained for questioning by the LCB. Magha Patel had earlier posted on his Facebook page about making the video clip viral on social media on 15th August. However the video clip has gone viral ahead of August 15.

MP Parbatbhai Patel claimed that the video has been edited by superimposing his face on the person seen in the clip. He added that he has never indulged in any wrongdoings in his entire life.

When asked about the viral video clip yesterday, Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama told media persons that he knows Parbatbhai for last 40-45 years. He is a man of clean character. Someone was blackmailing him. The family had filed complaint and the accused has been nabbed.

Meanwhile, a section of media has reported that the video clip in question was captured in year 2017 and the girl visible in the video was from Gandhinagar who is believed in America now. DeshGujarat
