Gandhinagar: Two teams of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) have achieved the ranking among the top-3 in the National Robocon Event organised by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.

The National Robocon Event was organised by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union in 3 stages in digital mode. Total 6 teams including 2 of GTU were selected for this event from Gujarat. Total 23 teams across India participated in this event. The team of Nirma University achieved first rank and the teams of GTU achieved second and third rank on the theme ‘Throwing Arrow into The Port’ by China. The GTU will represent India in the international Robocon Event to be held in China in December this year.

Vice-chancellor of GTU Prof. Dr. Navin Sheth said that various research by the students in the advancing field like Robotics will specially contribute to the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. Total 34 students from 7 branches had participated in the two teams of GTU, as informed by team mentor Prof. Raj Hakani. DeshGujarat
