CM Patel reviews Saurashtra flood situation; Instructs to move more NDRF teams

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today in a high-level meeting called by him reviewed the situation of flood-hit parts of Saurashtra, especially Jamnagar and Rajkot districts and cities on the first day after taking charge as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
He instructed for rescue and relief operations and shifting of people stuck in floods with help of NDRF during a telephonic conversation with collector of Jamnagar. He ordered the municipal commissioner and collector of Rajkot to urgently shift the people residing in low-lying areas to safe places after getting details of the position in Aji-2 dam in the wake of heavy rains in Rajkot. He was informed that 1,155 people living in low lying areas of Aji were shifted to safe places in Rajkot.
He instructed the administration to move 3 teams of NDRF for Rajkot and 2 teams for Jamnagar from Bhatinda. He issued instructions to prioritize the rescue and relief operations in the state. DeshGujarat
