14 from Gujarat clear UPSC CSE Final exam

Gandhinagar: Total 14 candidates from Gujarat are among the 761 candidates from the country who are qualified in final results of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)The 13 qualified candidates are from Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA), a similar number to the last year.

UPSC had conducted exams for the recruitment of 836 posts including 180 for IAS, 36 for IFS, 200 for IPS, 302 for central services group-A and 118 for group-B services. One candidate named Kartik Jivani, based from Surat has achieved 8th rank in the rank-list of 761 qualified candidates. There are two females and eleven males out of the 13 qualified candidates from Gujarat.

Over 3 lakh candidates had appeared for the prelims out of which over 10 thousand candidates were selected for the mains exam this year. Over 2 thousand candidates were then selected for the interview process which was scheduled in August. UPSC has also declared a provisional list of 151 candidates. DeshGujarat
