Gujarat completes over 95 per cent rainfall of average monsoon season this year

Gandhinagar: Gujarat completes 95.09 % rainfall of the normal average monsoon season this year so far, as per a zone-wise rainfall report of today. The total rainfall in Gujarat as of 8 AM today is 798.73 mm.

The region with the highest percent of rain of total monsoon is Saurashtra region where 113.55 % rain is completed. The region with the lowest percentage of rain of total monsoon is North Gujarat region where 71.59 % of rain has been completed so far. Kutch, East Central Gujarat, and South Gujarat region completed respectively111.69 %, 83.65 %, and 93.05 % rainfall of the average monsoon so far.

The district with the highest percentage of rain of total monsoon is Devbhumi Dwarka where 142.89 % rain is completed. The districts where over 100 percent of rain of total monsoon is completed are Kutch, Anand, Chhota Udepur, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Devbhumi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Botad, Bharuch, Narmada, and Valsad. The lowest percentage of rain of total monsoon so far is reported in the district Aravalli which is 62.58 %.

The taluka with the highest percentage of rain of total monsoon is Lodhika taluka in Rajkot district where 226.51 % rain is completed. The taluka with the lowest percentage of rain of total monsoon is Thasra taluka of Kheda where 37.95 % rain is completed.

The total percentage of rainfall completed in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot district so far is respectively 76.54 %, 99.01 %, 79.19 %, and 130.70 %.
