October 05, 2021
Ahmedabad: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has made Covid-19 vaccination mandatory for entries at various private premises in the city.
Private premises such as shopping malls, cinema halls, clubs, commercial complexes, party plots, hotels, restaurants, religious places, tourist places and large societies across the city are supposed to not allow entries to those who haven’t taken the first dose and those who haven’t taken second dose despite being eligible for it. Such people should be instructed to take vaccines at nearby Urban Health Centres or Community Health Centres. The societies or other large commercial units with over 100 beneficiaries of Covid-19 vaccination are supposed to inform through a letter to the office of Zonal deputy health officer. AMC will conduct vaccination drives at the place of such premises.
Total 97 % of the eligible people are vaccinated with the first dose and 49 % are vaccinated with the second dose in the city.
