Biometric attendance check system for Talatis in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The panchayat department has decided to make the biometric attendance mandatory for Talatis. The biometric systems will be installed at the gram panchayats across the state for this purpose.

The panchayat department has made this decision considering the frequent complains about absence of Talatis in the gram panchayats. Talatis will have to mandatorily remain present after the installation of biometric systems.

It is also decided to take punitive measures against Talatis who remain absent. It is to be noted that Talatis had previously protested against the government regarding introduction of biometric attendance. DeshGujarat
