A 21-day long Diwali vacation this year in higher education: Gujarat govt

Gandhinagar: State Education Minister Jitubhai Vaghani today declared a 21-day Diwali vacation this year instead of a 13-day Diwali vacation which was effective during last two years.
Vaghani in a tweet made announcement that: Various association in the domain of higher education had made representation that as Diwali is the biggest family festival for Hindu dharma, the Diwali vacation should be 21-day long instead of 13-day and required announcement should be made. In response to this representation, Diwali vacation will be 21-day long instead of 13-day which was the practice for last two years. DeshGujarat
ઉચ્ચ શિક્ષણના વિવિધ મંડળો દ્વારા થયેલ રજૂઆત મુજબ છેલ્લા ૨ વર્ષથી ચાલી આવેલ ૧૩ દિવસનું દિવાળી વેકેશન હિન્દુ ધર્મ માટે સૌથી મોટો પારિવારિક તહેવાર હોવાથી ૨૧ દિવસનું દિવાળી વેકેશન જાહેર કરવામાં આવે છે.
