Gujarat govt forms a five member committee over pay-grade and other demands of constabulary

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government has formed a five-member committee led by IPS Brajesh Kumar Jha (IG, Administration) over the representations received regarding pay-grades of constabulary and other issues, informed State DGP Ashish Kumar Bhatia today in a media briefing.
He added that now when a committee has been formed over various issues, no indiscipline will be tolerated and actions will be taken against the elements illegally involved in provoking, social media posting, messaging, forming groups under The Police(Incitement to Disaffection) Act and The Police-Forces (Restriction of Rights) Act. DGP Bhatia said four complains are already lodged over social media posts. Four FIRs are filled over holding rallies etc. Primary investigation is underway in more cases.
Members of the committee are Secretary (Expenditure) of finance department, Deputy Secretary (General Administration Department), Deputy Home Secretary and Chief Financial Officer of DG office. DGP Bhatia said that the committee will also study the system existing in the other States. DeshGujarat
