ACB Gujarat nabs Legal Metrology Inspector in bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed a senior inspector of legal metrology office in Mehtapura, Himmatnagar in Sabarkantha district.
The complainant has a petrol pump in which the stamping by the weights and measurement official is required every year. The accused senior inspector of legal metrology Hemantkumar Khimjibhai Vanvi had demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000 for stamping- applying seal after the checking from the complainant.
The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant during a trap executed by ACB on 30th October. ACB has detained the accused. DeshGujarat
