A new born abandoned child dies in fatal dog attack in Himmatnagar

Himmatnagar: Menace of stray dogs is only increasing day by day and the daily incidents of dogs attacking the people have become normal.

In latest incident that happened yesterday in Northern Gujarat town Himmatnagar, a dog was spotted with a two-day old new born child in its mouth at around 7 am in Sanskar society near the residence of Hiteshkumar Ramanlal. The dog dropped the child at some distance away after it was chased with shouting by locals. The dog had eaten the portions of child’s dead body in which eyes, hands and legs were missing.

When searched further the locals found a jacket and saree from the site of gutter line which is being laid in this area. It is believed that someone abandoned an ‘unwanted’ unborn child which was later picked up by a dog in search of food. Local police has sent mortal remains of child for post mortem and filed case against unidentified person. DeshGujarat
