Imprisonment till last breath to Santej rape and murder case convict; Verdict in record 24 days

Gandhinagar: The Sessions court here has given life imprisonment to accused Vijay Thakor for rape and murder of a 7-year old girl child at Santej. The criminal Vijay Thakor will spend rest of his life in jail till last breath.

Additional District Judge SN Solanki has ordered punishment in just 24 days of crime. The police team had filed chargesheet in just 8 days after day and night efforts. The hearing in court went on for just 14 days after which verdict was delivered today. An advocate representing the Government told media persons after the verdict that an appeal shall be made before the court for death penalty in this case. DeshGujarat
