AMC approval to 35 redevelopment projects in Ahmedabad West

Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has granted approval for the redevelopment of 35 residential schemes which are 20 years or more old in Ahmedabad west.

The residential schemes in Naranpura, Navrangpura, Paldi, Vansa, Vadaj, and Jodhpur ward are included in the redevelopment. AMC granted approval for the redevelopment of the 35 residential schemes after receiving support from the residents. Town Planning Committee chairman Devang Dani said that the opportunities for employment in the construction sector will increase along with providing better facilities to the public due to this decision.

The 7 residential schemes of Naranpura area, 6 schemes of each stadium and Navrangpura ward, and five schemes of each Paldi, Vasna and Vadaj area are included in redevelopment. Out of the 35 residential schemes, the permission of building use is granted to 17 schemes. The process of granting permission of building use to the remaining 14 schemes is ongoing.
