Sarpanch post reserved for ST in villages with not a single ST population

Surendranagar: No candidates will contest for the seat of Sarpanch in the 4 villages of Sureandranagar district in the gram-panchayat election because the seats are reserved for the scheduled tribe(ST) and there are no tribal community people living in these villages. Not a single.
The sarpanch seat will remain vacant in the villages namely Ramrajpar and Choraniya of Limbdi taluka , Velavadar of Chuda and Varmadhar in Than taluka. The seat is reserved for ST candidates. There is nil tribal population in these villages. So, no candidate has filled the form for contesting. DeshGujarat
