ACB Gujarat filed 173 bribe cases in 2021

Gandhinagar: Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat filed a total 173 crimes and nabbed 287 accused in the calendar year of 2021.
These 173 crime cases include 122 traps, 16 decoy traps, 11 disproportionate assets cases and 24 other cases.
The 287 accused include 10 from class-1, 25 from class-2, 140 class-3, 9 class-4 government servants and 103 private persons(middlemen). In 2021, ACB filed charge sheets in 318 crimes and resolved 3939 pleas. There is an increase of 3 % in the conviction rate in the year 2021 than 2020. It was 40% in 2020 and it went up at 43 % in 2021.
Total 116 complaints were received through ACB toll free number 1064, out of which the successful traps were conducted in 25 cases which is equal to 21.55 %. Total 11 cases of disproportionate assets were filed. ACB has found out disproportionate asset of Rs 56,61,98,440 in 2021, which is Rs 6,50,85,616 more than the year 2020.
