Surat Police drive against child pornography and couple boxes

Surat: In the wake of increasing number of rape incidents recently, the city police has initiated surprise checking of mobile phones of citizens. While such drive was going on in Udhna, Dindoli and Sachin areas, one Ramzan Mohammad Vakil (resident of Udhna) was found to have number of child pornography video clips in his mobile handset. He was booked for related offences. It’s worth noting that in one of the incidents of rape involving minor victim recently, the accused was found to be under influence of pornography clips that he had purchased from a shop in memory card.

In another drive, Police raided ‘couple boxes outlets’ across the city that provide closed space to couples for physical relations. The drive has been launched after an incident in which a 15-year old girl from Singapor area of city was raped in a couple box outlet namely ‘The heart to heart’. Accused had befriended victim girl through Instagram and even captured video of rape which was later circulated to two other accused who later blackmailed victim girl and raped her again. Police arrested Vinod Rajendraprasad Khatik (resident of Sikotardham society, Karodiya road, Vadodara), an operator of ‘The heart to heart’ couple box. Police raided other couple box cafes also in Sarthana area.
