Congress leaders from Kutch, several Gujarati film artists join BJP

Bhuj: The leaders of congress party from Kutch district and some artists of Gujarati films joined ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today at party’s State headquarters Shri Kamalam in the presence of state BJP president CR Patil and general secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela today.

Total 44 karyakars of Congress party who joined BJP include Jagrutiben Shah- daughter of former finance minister Babubhai Meghji Shah who is former president of Kutch district panchayat and former vice-president of women’s congress; Gautambhai Shah- son of former finance minister Babubhai Shah; Yuvrajsinh Limbad- former general secretary of Kutch Congress and Vijaybhai Vadhvan- former general secretary of city congress.

The artists of Gujarati film-world namely Bhaktiben Kubavat, Mamta Soni, actress Falguni Rawal, Kaminiben Patel, Hemangbhai Dave, Hetal Thakkar, Sani Kumar, Prashan Barot, Jyoti Sharma joined BJP.

State BJP President CR Patil had a meeting with the winning candidates of Kheda Sahkari Bank ltd for the first time after the independence, and congratulated them. The BJP candidates achieved victory on 9 seats out of 17 seats in the Kheda district co-operative bank ltd elections, along with unrivaled victory of the candidates on 4 seats. Thus, the BJP inspired panel achieved victory in 13 seats.
