Birds hit glass elevation of building, die together in a moment

Surat: The Rosy Starling birds flying in a group died altogether after they knocked against an elevation glass wall of a tall building of Surat District Cooperative Bank in ring-road area of Surat city on Thursday- 1st February. According to experts, the birds misunderstood the elevation glass outer wall as the real sky due to reflection.

The security staff of the bank conveyed the message about the death of the birds across the campus. The bank staff immediately contacted an animal welfare organization ‘Prayas’.

Darshan Desai from Prayas informed that the rosy starling birds arrive in Surat from Himalayas during winters and they fly in groups. He further informed that the birds misunderstood the elevation glass wall as sky after looking at the reflection of the sky in it, following which they knocked against it and died. DeshGujarat
