POCSO accused alleged kidnapper held over complaint of a Hindu victim

Surendranagar: The police have nabbed the accused Muslim man in Sadla village of Patdi taluka in Surendranagar who allegedly abducted the Hindu person who had filed a complaint of molestation of a minor Hindu girl against him.

The police complaint was filed against the accused Sharifkhan Jamiyatkhan Malek for molesting a minor Hindu girl. The victim girl was from Bhavnagar and she had come to visit her maternal uncle’s home in Sadla. The police had filed a crime under POCSO and nabbed the accused Sharifkhan and his brother Sajidkhan alias Shahrukhkhan in this case.

The accused Sajidkhan alias Shahrukhkhan was released later. He then allegedly abducted the complainant named Shantilal Hamirbhai Solanki on bike. Accused Khan allegedly took Solanki to a farm, beat him up and threatened him to reconcile and pay Rs 10 lakh over his expenses during the custody.

The complainant and his family members had appealed to the collector in Surendranagar as the accused kept threatening him. After the instruction of DSP, Dhrangadhra DYSP, Bajana police and LCB team reached Sadla, assured the safety of the victim’s family and set up police bandobast outside his home. The accused Sajidkhan alias Shahrukhkhan is again nabbed by the police.
