ACB executes more successful traps

Gandhinagar: ACB has nabbed one person from Khundhgam in Chikhli in Navsari district for taking a bribe of Rs 2,00,000 along with the help of another person.

The complainant required an NOC from the sarpanch and deputy sarpanch for starting the manufacturing of cement article products in the joint ownership land at Khundhgam in Chikhli. The accused Manoj Ramdasbhai Gayakwad had demanded a bribe of Rs 2,00,000 for issuing NOC. The complainant contacted ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. During the trap executed by ACB on 17th February, the accused was found giving a fake introduction of another accused Ronak Sharma as a sarpanch to the complainant and taking a bribe of Rs 2,00,000 from him. ACB has detained the accused Manoj Gayakwad and another accused is yet to be found.

ACB has nabbed a TRB jawan serving at Rajpipla chokdi under GIDC police station in Ankleshwar Bharuch in a bribe case of Rs 100.

ACB Vadodara team had received information that the policemen, TRB jawans, and homeguards stop the cargo and passenger vehicles at traffic points and police points in Vadodara city, Vadodara rural, Bharuch and Bharuch district on Vadodara-Surat express Highway and demand a bribe ranging between Rs 100 to Rs 1000 as ‘entry’ from them. ACB planned a decoy trap to verify the information. During the decoy trap executed by ACB on 13th February, the accused TRB jawan Manishbhai Gumanbhai Patel, serving at traffic point under Rajpipla chokdi bridge at express highway between Vadodara and Bharuch, was found stopping the chota hathi/ tempo of the decoyer and taking a bribe of Rs 100 from him.
