Another Spokesperson of Gujarat Congress set to join BJP

Gandhinagar: Another State level spokesperson of Gujarat Congress is all set to join ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Ahmedabad based Bharat Desai who is also known as Nimesh Desai is State Spokesperson of Gujarat Congress and also a co-opted member of All India Congress Committee (AICC), the supreme body of Congress party nationally. He is also a former president of Maldhari cell in Gujarat Congress. Desai’s photo with Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil and State BJP general secretary Pradipsinh Vaghela is circulating among political circle. Gujarat Congress has removed his mention from the lists of Spokespersons and the list of AICC Co-opted members on respective web pages of party’s state unit website. Desai had tweeted couple of Sanskrit lines and said good bye to Gujarat Congress in a tweet on January 28. However his mention as State party Spokesperson stayed on Gujarat Congress website even during this week.

The other two persons seen in same photo with CR Patil include Rakesh Goswami, incharge of Indian Overseas Congress, convener of All India Professional Congress and former Vice Chairman of Gujarat Congress’s IT cell. Prashant Parmar, AICC member, member of Gujarat Congress’s Protocol department, Secretary of Gujarat Congress and Vice President of Gujarat Congress’s Schedule Caste cell can also be seen in same photo. It is believed that they all will formally join BJP.

Early this week, another Spokesperson Jayrajsinh Parmar left Congress. Jayrajsinh was top anti-BJP face representing Congress party in TV debates on Gujarati news channels. He is going to join BJP on Tuesday next week. Gujarat Congress has lately also removed Jayrajsinh’s mention from the list of party Spokespersons on party website. DeshGujarat
