Gujarat governor’s address to the house as State assembly budget session begins

Gandhinagar: Governor Acharya Dev Vrat had to wind up his speech in the State assembly on the first day of the budget session today due to ruckus created by opposition Congress party MLAs over various issues. Presented below is full text of Governor’s address.

The budget session of state assembly has started from today. A cabinet meeting was held in the leadership of CM Bhupendra Patel prior to it.

Congress party MLAs had created ruckus in the state assembly. They protested by wearing banners and speaking slogans against BJP. They spoke aloud slogans such as ‘ Bhajap tara raj ma drug mafia moj ma’ (Drug mafias are untroubled in the leadership of BJP) and ‘gruhmantri rajinamu aape’ (state home minister should resign) prior to the speech of Governer Acharya Devvrat. They also used playcards for protest.

Congress MLA Imran Khedawala had reached for symbolic protest on the closure of small textile industries. Shailesh Parmar stated that they will discuss the paper-leak scam of the government and graft scam of police.
