Over 1,200 fall sick after having meal at Congress leader Vazirkhan Pathan’s son

Mahesana: Over 1200 people fall sick after having a meal at the wedding ceremony of Congress leader Vazirkhan Pathan’s son Shahrukh Khan.

Many locals of Savala village, who attended marriage reception of Congress leader Vazirkhan Pathan’s son Shahrukh Khan and had a meal there have got food poisoning, with the symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea Over 1200 people are admitted to the hospitals of 6 cities and villages namely Visnagar, Mehsana, Unza, Kheralu, Vadnagar and Gandhinagar. The state health minister Rushikesh Patel, and staff, reached Visnagar at 3.30 am after learning about the incident.

The marriage reception of congress leader Vazirkhan Pathan’s son was organized last night. The meal was prepared by Delhi Darbar Caterers. The district collector Udit Agarwal and Mahesana SP had also reached the hospital in the night. Total 1225 patients are registered on the record. After receiving treatment from the teams of doctors and medical staff, around 95 % of patients recovered and got discharged.
