Forecast for heatwave condition in parts of Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The heat wave condition will prevail in the state for upcoming days in several districts as per India Meteorological Department weather forecast report.

Heat wave to Severe Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Kutch district on 14th and 15th March, states IMD. IMD has suggested avoiding heat exposure, avoiding dehydration, drinking sufficient water- even if not thirsty and using ORS, homemade drinks in the heat wave to severe heat wave condition.

Heat wave conditions are likely to continue to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts namely Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Patan, Rajkot, Porbandar, Surendranagar and Junagadh on 14th and 15th march, as per IMD.

Heat wave conditions are very likely to continue to prevail at isolated pockets in the districts of Gujarat region namely Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan and Surat; in the districts of Saurashtra- Kutch namely Rajkot, Surendranagar and Kutch, on 16th March, as per IMD.

The maximum temperature is very likely to reach 40 C in Ahmedabad and the neighborhood on 14th March.

IMD has suggested to avoid heat exposure, to wear lightweight, light-coloured, loose, cotton clothes and to cover the head amidst the heat wave condition. DeshGujarat
