Porn content in mobile phone biggest reasons behind increasing number of rape cases: Sanghavi

Gandhinagar: The state home minister Harsh Sanghavi today stated that the porn videos available in the mobiles phones is a key factor responsible for the increasing number of rape cases in the state, as per a survey conducted.

He said, “if a father does it (rape) with his daughter, the mobile phone is the biggest reason behind that. It is not always only about whether the police are strict or not. There is availability in the mobile phones. We conducted a survey. The maximum reason came out in that survey is mobile, mobile and mobile. Apart from that, about how such incidents happened, the maximum reasons came out in the ’cause of rape’ in the survey, are these three – neighbors, close relatives and known persons. I am telling this to the society and all of you, because where we trust the most, such small and large incidents keep happening. So, I hope that all of you will be helpful for conveying this issue to the ground level in the society.”
