Anand: Congress leader Bharatsinh Solanki has made an appeal in the Borsad court for divorce with his second wife Reshma Patel.

He stated in the appeal that they have no marital relations for the past 10 years. The hearing of the case is scheduled on 4th May. He has stated in the appeal that he had a registered marriage in the USA with Reshma Patel, from Vadodara. They lived as husband and wife for 5 years in India. He alleged that his wife took advantage of his political status and increased relations with third parties due to political interests. She behaved in a way which caused harm to his political existence, respect, prestige and social modesty.

Bharatsinh Solanki and Reshma Patel married on 28th July, 1999. Reshma Patel had alleged about torture and adultery by Bharatsinh Solanki few days back. Reshma Patel had in her statement clearly stated recently that she would not give divorce. DeshGujarat
