Surat ranks first in sales of e-vehicles in Gujarat

Surat: Surat city ranks first in the sales of e-vehicles in the state, with 9000 e-vehicles sold in the city in the year 2021-22.

The sales of e-vehicles in Surat was 9000, followed by 5020 in Ahmedabad, 1900 in Vadodara and 1480 in Rajkot in 2021-22. The government released a total subsidy of Rs 12.94 crore in the accounts of 6000 e-vehicle owners of the city. Total 8400 electric vehicles were found eligible for subsidy out of 9000 e-vehicles.

There were 5746 two-wheelers, 120 cars, and 13 three wheelers out of the 9000 electric vehicles sold in Surat. DeshGujarat
