AMC approaches police after circulation of fake messages in name of Municipal Commissioner

Sabarmati: An unknown person sent fake messages to AMC officials from a mobile number in the name of Amdavad municipal commissioner Lochan Sehra.

Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) states in a note that the messages sent from a mobile number 9113587672 to the AMC officials in the name of Municipal Commissioner Lochan Sehra, using language unsuitable to the dignity of his position, are not sent by him.

The messages are baseless and the mobile number is not associated with the municipal commissioner Lochan Sehra in any way, stated the note released by AMC. The note appeals to not to reply to any messages sent from this number and not to do any financial transactions or conversations. The matter is conveyed to the assistant commissioner of police of cyber crime department of Shahibaug, Ahmedabad.

This is second incident of this kind in a week. Previously the city Mayor’s name was misused. The Mayor had also approached police to trace the culprit. DeshGujarat
